Lessons
I offer private ceramic lessons out of my cozy home studio in Oakland, CA! Here are the types of classes I offer:
1. Try it out: Wheel Throwing
Try out wheel throwing! A 2hr long fun way to try the pottery wheel for 1-2 people. It’s a bit messy, very tactile, and a unique experience. You typically will come away with a few small bowl/cup shapes.
Clay is provided, and I will dry, glaze and fire your piece for you. Turnaround time is 1-2 months.
2. Try it out: Handbuilding
Handbuilding session for 1-2 people. Move at your own pace + you can be more creative with your first pieces. Choose to build a small mug, dish, vase or figurine, with optional decoration with slip or underglaze.
Clay is provided, and I will dry, glaze and fire your piece for you. Turnaround time is 1-2 months.
3. Individualized Instruction
Customized lessons for folks with any previous ceramic experience. For 1-2 people. We will talk about what you’d like to focus on!
Happy to provide clay to demo or experiment with. For any significant or continuous projects I request that you buy your own clay.
